Melissa Parfitt and Robert Fielder founded Redleif Care with the belief that everyone should receive an extremely high level of care and support. They deliver care wrapped with love.

Rob and Melissa have over 70 years’ experience working in the care sector between them. After working for some of the UK’s leading care companies, they decided in 2019 that the time was right to form Redleif Care and deliver care in their own way, adopting a simple value base of ensuring care and support is delivered to each customer to the same standard as one would expect for themselves or those they love.

Rob’s dad was a carpenter and home builder who built the house Rob was born in. The house name sign hung by the front door from the 60s through to the 00s. After his father’s sudden passing sixteen years ago, the family home was sold.
During a visit between lockdowns, Rob drove past the old house and was surprised to see the sign still there. Overcome with nostalgia, he knocked on the door, explained who he was, and asked if he could take it. The new owners kindly agreed, and Rob left with the sign and many memories.
Today, that sign hangs at Redleif House in Yeovil, Redleif Care’s luxury retirement home offering bespoke support. Rob vividly recalls asking his dad why the house was called Redleif. His dad replied, “Son, it’s your surname backwards.” It’s a story Rob has always carried with him, and when he founded Redleif Care with Melissa, the name choice was obvious.
While Redleif House now has modern signage, the original sign — crafted by a hardworking carpenter and father in the 1960s — remains on the wall. It stands as a tribute to Rob’s dad and a reminder of the importance of our roots and history.
